Getting to Italy
By Air
Milan Malpensa, Milan Linate and Milan Bergamo Orio al Serio are the nearest airports.
Budget airline Easyjet flies into Malpensa and Ryanair into Bergamo, but many other airlines also fly here. skyscanner.net will help you to find the best option for you.
By Train
Como is easily accessable by train, from all over Europe; Como Nord Lago and Como San Giovanni are the nearest stations. The man in seat 61 will help you plan your journey.
By Car
Como is 20 minutes from the Swiss border and the main A2/E35 road will bring you in this way to Como.
Getting to Nesso
Car Rental
There are numerous car rental companies at the airports. If you are flying into Malpensa with Easyjet, then use Avis or Europcar as they have desks at Terminal 2 where the Easyjet flights come in and it saves the bus transfer to Terminal 1.
The drive from any of the airports to Nesso takes between 60 and 90 minutes.
Public Transport
Malpensa
The train station is in terminal 1 and you can get the train to Como Nord Lago changing at Saronno which takes just under an hour.
Linate
There’s a regular bus to Milan Centrale station where you can catch the train to Como San Giovanni.
Bergamo
There’s a regular bus to Milan Centrale station where you can catch the train to Como San Giovanni.
NB Bergamo town is beautiful and well worth visiting. We can book a hotel for you.
From Como to Nesso
The No.30 & 32 buses take about 40 minutes to get to Nesso. It’s also possible to take the ferry, but we don’t recommend this if you have a lot of luggage. (The top photo, taken from the living room, shows the ferry at Nesso)
