Stairs alert: The only proviso for renting this lovely accommodation is that it’s in the old part of the village, and isn’t accessible by car. You’ll need to park your car in one of the safe village parking areas and walk downhill (about 250 metres) through the quaint, narrow streets (bottom image) to get to the apartment. We won’t recommend you stay here if you have mobility issues, or would struggle with a lot of steps. However, being tucked away down by the lake is the ultimate holiday getaway and, as one guest said, a small price to pay for such an idyllic setting …
Nesso is halfway between Como and Bellagio and can be reached by car, ferry or bus. Many of Lake Como’s attractions can be reached by ferry, which stops 10 minutes walk from the apartment. Check out the things to do page for information on site seeing, activities and boat hire.
Lake Como is a popular film location. You may have seen it in Casino Royale, Ocean’s Twelve, Star Wars – Attack of the Clones or A Month On The Lake. You may even see George Clooney during your visit, as he has a villa on the lake. It’s also an easy journey to Milan if you fancy a day in the city, or seeing AC Milan or Inter Milan at the San Siro. Monza, the home of the Formula One Italian Grand Prix is nearby too.
