The living room leads into the kitchen with a gas hob, sink and dishwasher - and a butcher's block that serves as a breakfast bar with 2 stools. The electric oven, fridge freezer, and washing machine are in the adjoining 'scullery' which is fitted in the same modern style with plenty of cupboards.
This used to be a full-time home, so the kitchen is much better equipped than an average holiday apartment, with an extensive selection of crockery, cutlery, saucepans etc.
The Master bedroom is furnished in a more traditional style has a queen sized double bed, drawers and a wardrobe. The second bedroom is more modern and has 2 single beds and more storage space. Both bedrooms have high wooden ceilings and views across the hillside.
The modern bathroom has a shower, large bath, basin and bidet. Towels are included in the rental.
The bath is really enormous: ideal for sharing!
The apartment has a private garden for sunbathing and al fresco dining with a view of the lake.
You also have use of the beautiful shared lakeside garden, where you can relax, look at the mountain views and watch the boats go by. We always swim in the lake, although some of the locals doubt the cleanliness of the water, we've been doing it for years with no ill effects.
As this is an old building, there's no air conditioning. However there are windows on 3 sides of the apartment and often a breeze from the lake. It's rare that you'll feel the need, but we do provide electric fans. The apartment has central heating and a wood burning stove for use in the colder months; the heating is included in the rental price.
